Introduction

Hi there! My name is Thirsa Chin-A-Kwie and I am 22 years old. I finished the bachelor's in Creative Technology at the University of Twente, and after half a year of contemplating I decided to start the master Interaction Technology. Luckily, I still do not regret that decision!

I love to be creative in all sorts of ways. I enjoy trying out new hobbies (such as sewing, art, game design) though I sometimes find it more difficult to stick to them ;). I also enjoy archery, (making) music, running, games and spending time with family and friends.

Feel free to look around to see what keeps me busy and have a wonderful day!

My creative workspace

I spend the most time being creative at home or at my parents house. My whole family is quite creative and we also plan moments where we do arts and crafts together. My mother has a big closet full of supplies for drawing, painting, clay, sewing and piles of paper and cardboard. This allowed me to express my creativity freely since my childhood.

Since I live in a small studio, I am unable to hoard all the supplies I want, but there is still a lot of space occupied with "creativity". These are just supplies for whatever hobby I want to spent time on and allow me to start new things easily.

My tinkering workspace

My creative space and materials are the base of my tinkering workspace. I have many materials and hobby parts in sight, allowing me to easily be inspired. If I need any inspiration or ideas I just look around and see what it brings me.

The main items around me are items for my hobbies, for which I thinker most. This includes paper, sewing kits and sewing machine, clay, paint, wool, glass bottles, embroidery materials, wire and wire tools, all kinds of beads and small trinkets, and basic brainstorming items such as post-its, pens, pencils and markers. Having all these items right within lowers the threshold to start doing something instead of scrolling away on social media.

Something I would still like to add is a big whiteboard, to easily write out everything that comes up in my head.
